Synaps was a Jira app for mapping dependencies between projects and tracing delays to their source. I built the React interface and Forge backend, alongside the product website and documentation. The service has since been discontinued and is no longer available.

See how projects connect.

Each node represented a Jira project, with connections showing dependencies recorded on its issues. Synaps traced blocking chains to their source and detected circular dependencies. Users could inspect the underlying tickets, filter by status or assignee, and open them in Jira.

Inspect dependencies, row by row.

The table let users compare projects and inspect their dependencies row by row. Search and filters stayed in sync with the graph. Users could export the current view as data or images, or publish it to Confluence through the connected integration.

Built for real Jira workspaces.

I designed scans to preserve partial results before Forge’s time limit and clearly flag incomplete scans. Issue details respected each viewer’s Jira permissions, while failed refreshes left the previous graph available.

Build the path into the product.

I also built the companion website with Next.js, from product presentation and pricing to installation. Illustrated guides helped users get started and explore the app’s features.
