Browsing the portfolio
This website has no account registration, contact form, advertising tags or audience analytics of its own. Fonts and project artwork are served with the website. Social icons are ordinary links; they do not embed LinkedIn or GitHub widgets.
To deliver pages, the hosting infrastructure necessarily receives technical information such as your IP address, requested URL and browser information. Any operational or security logs are used to provide and protect the website, on the basis of the publisher’s legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
Hosting and technical data
The hosting provider is Cloudflare, Inc.. See its privacy information.
Data and recipients: Cloudflare and its subprocessors receive the technical data described above to deliver and protect this website. Stored Workers Logs and automatic Workers log exports are disabled. Compatible browsers may send network-failure reports to Cloudflare to diagnose connection problems. These reports can include the requested URL, error type and connection timing. The site has no visitor database. The publisher can view service metrics and inspect live request diagnostics when investigating a problem.
Retention: Workers service metrics are available for up to three months. For other operational and security data, Cloudflare determines retention according to service purposes and legal obligations, as explained in its privacy policy; it does not publish one duration covering all such data. For network-failure reports, Cloudflare states that it processes the client IP address in memory and discards it when the reporting request completes. Preference-cookie durations are given below.
Processing locations: The site uses Cloudflare’s global network. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. EU-only processing is not configured.
International transfers: Cloudflare’s data processing terms provide for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and EU Standard Contractual Clauses for restricted transfers. The linked terms and subprocessor list describe these safeguards and recipients; you may also contact the publisher for information about them.
Preferences on your device
The website’s cookies remember the interface preferences you choose. They are not used to track your browsing or for advertising. You can browse without saving either preference.
When you choose dark or white mode, the website stores your choice in a first-party preference cookie named portfolio-theme. It lasts for up to one year and is sent to this website so pages can be rendered in your chosen appearance. It is not used for analytics or advertising. The theme button can update it directly in your browser. Change your preference with that button, or remove it by clearing this site’s cookies. When no choice is saved, the website follows your browser’s light or dark preference without creating a theme cookie. A choice made with the theme button takes precedence. Without JavaScript, the website uses your saved cookie or defaults to dark mode. If an older preference exists in local storage, it is transferred to the cookie on a visit and the old value is removed after successful migration; an existing valid cookie takes precedence.
When you use the EN/FR switcher, a first-party preference cookie named portfolio-language remembers your choice for up to one year. It is sent to this website so pages can be rendered in your chosen language, and is not used for analytics or advertising. You can change it with the switcher or remove it by clearing this site’s cookies. English is the default when no choice is stored.
Project videos
All project videos and their preview images are served by this website. Videos use your browser’s built-in player, without a YouTube embed or connection to Google/YouTube for playback.
Requests for video files, subtitle files and preview images reach the website’s hosting infrastructure, which receives the same technical information described above, such as your IP address, requested URL and browser information. The video player does not add advertising or analytics cookies.
Playback starts only when you use Play video on the homepage or the player’s controls on a project page. Preview images and subtitle files may load before playback, on the homepage as well as on project pages. The players use static thumbnail images with video preloading disabled; video data is requested when you start playback.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact me via LinkedIn for requests concerning this portfolio.
